My Professional Journey

Born in South Korea and raised in the vibrant heart of Canada(Winnipeg, aka Winterpeg), my journey in medicine began at Loma Linda University, where I embraced the ethos of whole-person care.
Today, I have the privilege of serving patients battling substance use disorders, guiding them compassionately at every step of their recovery. As a medical director for several treatment facilities in Southern California, I dedicate my expertise to creating environments where healing can flourish.

Beliefs and Approach

I believe in meeting patients exactly where they are in their journey. Recovery is deeply personal, and so should be the care we offer. My approach centers around partnering with patients, understanding their unique stories, and crafting treatment plans that align with their individual goals.

Beyond the Clinic

As an assistant professor of preventive medicine, I share my passion and knowledge with the next generation of medical professionals, hoping to inspire a similar dedication to compassionate, patient-centered care.

A Personal Note

Away from my professional roles, I'm a family man, happily married, and a father to a delightful preschooler. I enjoy hiking, playing ping-pong, sauna, reading books, and drinking fruity coffee.
